OnMy Terms of Service

Effective date: November 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Lx Scaling LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company ("OnMy", "we", "us"). They cover the OnMy iOS app, its iMessage extension, the onmy.io website and anything else we offer under the OnMy name (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or using OnMy you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy (onmy.io/privacy). If you do not agree, do not use OnMy.

1. You must be 18 or older

OnMy is for adults. You may use it only if you are at least 18 years old and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it.

2. Your account

You sign in with your Apple ID (Sign in with Apple) or with your email address and a one-time code. Keep your Apple ID, your email account and your phone secure: anything done from your OnMy account counts as done by you. Give us accurate information, keep one account, and tell us at support@onmy.io if you think someone else has access to it.

3. What OnMy is

OnMy is a place to keep your word. You make a commit (a promise to do something, once or on a schedule), you prove it with a photo or video taken inside OnMy, and someone decides whether you kept it:

  • Versus: you dare a friend, or a friend dares you. The person who made the dare reviews the proof. If they are not convinced, the person proving it can ask Pu to decide, and Pu's decision is final. With OnMy Pro, either person can have Pu review every proof in the commit instead.
  • You vs You: a commit with yourself, reviewed by Pu.
  • Stakes: what each person promises if they do not keep their word, or what they get if they do (see section 5).
  • Points, streaks and milestones: a record of kept and missed commits. Points have no cash value and cannot be bought, sold or exchanged.

OnMy is a social tool, not a referee, a court, a bank or a betting service. The commits, the stakes and what happens between you and your friends are yours.

4. Pu is a person

Pu is OnMy's character. When Pu reviews a proof, settles a dispute or decides anything in the app, a member of the OnMy team looks at it, sometimes helped by automated tools. We aim to answer within 12 hours. Pu's decisions are final inside OnMy. They are a judgment about the proof you sent, made in good faith, not a legal finding about anything else.

Your first You vs You commit judged by Pu and your first call to Pu in a Versus are free. After that, Pu is part of OnMy Pro (section 9). These free uses are counted per account and per device, so they cannot be reset by creating a new account.

5. Stakes

A stake is a promise between you and the person you commit with. OnMy does not hold, collect, pay, transfer, guarantee or enforce money, property or anything else of value. There is no wagering on OnMy. Whether a stake is honored is between the people in the commit. When a stake is owed, OnMy gives the person 48 hours to show it was done, and the other person (or Pu) looks at that proof.

Stakes must be safe, legal and freely agreed by everyone involved. We remove stakes and commits, and may suspend accounts, when a stake:

  • risks anyone's health or safety, or encourages dangerous, illegal or reckless behavior;
  • involves cash changing hands, payment apps, debt, gambling or anything that works like a wager (a coffee or a dinner on the loser is fine; "pay me $50" is not);
  • is sexual, humiliating beyond what the other person clearly agreed to, or targets someone outside the commit;
  • involves anyone under 18.

You are responsible for the stakes you propose and accept. If a stake would hurt you or anyone else, do not accept it. Decline it and, if needed, report it.

6. Community rules: zero tolerance

OnMy has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive people. You agree not to post, send or request anything that:

  • is sexual or pornographic, or sexualizes anyone;
  • shows, threatens or encourages violence, self-harm, suicide, eating disorders or dangerous activities;
  • harasses, bullies, threatens, shames or discriminates against anyone;
  • is hateful toward a person or group because of who they are;
  • shows illegal activity or anything involving minors in a harmful way;
  • shares someone's private information or content without their consent;
  • is spam, a scam, impersonation or misleading;
  • infringes someone's copyright, trademark or other rights.

Reporting and blocking. You can report a dare, a proof, a message or a profile from inside the app, and you can block anyone. We review reports and act within 24 hours: we remove content that breaks these rules and we suspend or ban the people who post it, without notice when the case is clear. Blocking someone ends the running commits between you and stops new ones.

Filters and strikes. We use automated tools to screen dares, stakes, messages and profiles before and after they are posted. They can be wrong. If something of yours was removed by mistake, write to support@onmy.io. Content that is removed counts as a strike; repeated strikes pause an account, and a second pause closes it.

7. Your content

You own the photos, videos, text and other content you post ("Your Content"). You give OnMy a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display and transmit Your Content so we can run, secure and improve the Service, including showing it to the people you commit with and to the OnMy team when Pu reviews it. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for safety, legal or backup reasons for a limited time.

Who sees what:

  • The people in a commit (the other player and any judge) see the proofs, captions, stakes and, when the commit requires it, the place where a proof was taken.
  • The OnMy team sees content when it is reported, when Pu reviews it, or when we need to for safety or support.
  • Nothing you post is public unless you share it yourself, for example by posting a card from the app.

You promise that you have the rights to everything you post and that it follows these Terms.

8. Safety first

Do not do anything for a commit that puts you or anyone else at risk. No commit or stake is worth getting hurt. OnMy is not an emergency or medical service. If you or someone else is in danger, contact local emergency services. In the United States you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

9. OnMy Pro

OnMy Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple. It unlocks Pu as the judge of your You vs You commits after your free one, Pu as the reviewer of every proof in your Versus commits, calling Pu in a Versus dispute after your free call, and any other feature marked Pro in the app. The exact features and prices are shown in the app before you buy. At launch, Pro costs 9.99 US dollars a month or 39.99 US dollars a year, and the yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial.

  • Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, and at the start of each new period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • Free trial. When we offer a free trial, you will not be charged during the trial. Your subscription starts, and the price is charged, when the trial ends, unless you cancel before then. Unused trial time is lost when you buy a subscription.
  • Cancel and refunds. You manage and cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms.
  • Gifts and offers. We may give Pro time for free (for example as a gift from a friend who subscribes) or offer discounts. Gifts have no cash value and can be withdrawn if abused.
  • Changes. We may change Pro's price or features. Price changes apply to the next period, and Apple tells you first.

10. Things you may not do

Do not use OnMy to break the law; do not copy, scrape, decompile or interfere with the Service; do not create accounts by automated means or for anyone else; do not pretend to be someone you are not; and do not try to get around a block, a ban, a strike or a filter.

11. Our rights

We may change, pause or stop any part of OnMy at any time. We may remove content, limit features or suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put others at risk. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

Copyright claims. If you believe content on OnMy infringes your copyright, send a notice with the details required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) to our designated agent: Leandro Martel Silva, Lx Scaling LLC, 12 North Taylor Ave, Apt 31, Norwalk, CT 06854, USA, dmca@onmy.io. We remove infringing content when we receive a valid notice, we tell the person who posted it, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers.

12. Deleting your account

You can delete your account from Settings at any time. Deletion ends your running commits with no winner, withdraws your pending dares, offers and judge invitations, closes any stake still open with you, deletes your proofs, photos and profile, frees your username and removes your sign-in. It cannot be undone. Other people keep their own records (their dares, results and proofs), where you appear as "Deleted account"; your messages in their chats stay under that name. Some records (for example reports, purchase records and content kept under a safety hold) are kept as long as the law or our safety needs require. The Privacy Policy has the details.

13. Disclaimers

OnMy is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that proofs will always be reviewed within a given time. We are not responsible for what you or other users promise, do or fail to do because of a commit or a stake, inside or outside the app.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Lx Scaling LLC and its owners, employees and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits or injury arising from the Service, from a commit or from a stake. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 US dollars if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

15. Your responsibility to us

You agree to cover our costs, including reasonable legal fees, for claims caused by Your Content, your stakes, your breaking of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

16. Apple

These Terms are between you and Lx Scaling LLC, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to support or maintain OnMy and is not responsible for the app, its content or any claim about it, including product liability, legal compliance and intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You also agree to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement where it applies.

17. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before going to court, write to us at support@onmy.io and give us 30 days to try to solve the problem with you. Claims that are not resolved go to the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and you agree to their jurisdiction. Either side may use small-claims court where it applies.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Using OnMy after the change means you accept it.

19. General

If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about OnMy. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms right away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer your account or these Terms to anyone else; we may transfer them to a company that takes over OnMy.
